What is black angus beef?

We’re glad you asked! Black Angus beef refers to quality meat from the Aberdeen Angus cattle, originally from Scotland but now widely raised in other parts of the world. Due to the breed’s superior genetic characteristics, black angus beef is highly sought after for its marbling — the intramuscular fat that makes the meat more flavourful and tender — and consistent quality.

What is regenerative farming?

Regenerative farming is a holistic approach to land management that seeks to naturally restore and enhance the vitality of the farm’s ecosystem. At Mountain View Angus, we work year-round to restore the capacity of our land, improving soil health to ensure our cattle can constantly consume fertile, nutrient-dense grass. Our farmers move our livestock to different grazing areas on rotation, preventing soil erosion while aiming to increase soil biodiversity. By promoting biodiversity, we also help create a more resilient and productive ecosystem.

What is a meat box?

We operate with a nose-to-tail philosophy, aiming to utilise every part of the animal to minimise unnecessary waste. Your meat box will consist of 1/8 of the animal – containing a selection of high-quality Australian beef sourced directly from the black Angus cattle residing on our property. Perfect for BBQs with the kids, family celebrations or the festive season, our meat pack includes a variety of tender and juicy cuts, each separately packaged to maintain freshness. When you choose Mountain View Angus, you can rest assured knowing you’re investing in the highest-quality and best nurtured beef.

What do I get in the meat pack?

Whether you’re whipping up a pot roast, frying a juicy rump steak in butter or hosting Taco Tuesday, our BBQ meat pack includes:

Please note that we operate with a nose-to-tail philosophy, aiming to utilise every part of the animal to minimise unnecessary waste. As such, we are not a traditional butchery. On the rare occasion that certain cuts are not available, we may provide an equivalent substitute to ensure no part of the animal goes to waste.

How do I store the meat pack after purchase?

Every cut in our meat box is individually vacuum packed and stored in a chilled environment, so when it arrives at your doorstep, you can throw it in the freezer for next week’s meal prep or start cooking immediately! Alternatively, you can freeze the sealed vacuum packages for a rainy day.
